Senior Mechanical Production Support Engineer

Project overview:

• Support global manufacturing plants in solving mechanical and thermomechanical production challenges.
• Serve as the technical interface between Manufacturing Operations and Product Engineering, improving product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
• Work with mechanical design, manufacturing, simulation, materials and reliability teams to identify root causes and implement robust solutions.
• Work in a hybrid model from Kraków, with 3 days per week in the office.

• Analyze and resolve mechanical and thermomechanical production issues, including design, assembly, tolerance, structural and reliability problems.
• Lead root cause, failure and technical investigations; support containment, Design of Experiments and validation activities.
• Evaluate mechanical interfaces, tolerance stack ups, material behavior and manufacturing process impacts.
• Assess supplier changes, document technical findings and communicate recommendations to global stakeholders.
• Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement through engineering standards and lessons learned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing support or product development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerance analysis and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, structured problem solving, Design of Experiments and engineering investigations.
• Understanding of materials behavior, mechanical interfaces and product reliability.
• Ability to translate technical findings into practical design and manufacturing improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills; ability to work independently in global cross functional teams.
• Role technologies include CAD, mechanical design validation, mechanical simulation, structural analysis, reliability testing, manufacturing and assembly, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Ishikawa and DFMEA.

• Automotive electronics or power electronics experience; background in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, reliability or materials; knowledge of thermal management, Thermal Interface Materials and durability testing; familiarity with APQP and PPAP.
